Featured Project: Call Center Performance Support Training
This was a business case simulation where I worked with a team to solve a performance issue at a call center. Our Team or Business name concept was "Generals of Greatness" and we provide "Five Star" learning solutions. The mock client was "Astronomika." We conducted an in depth needs analysis, determined a solution, designed, and developed all required deliverables.
My Role and Main Contributions
Although I was not "Team Lead" by title, the team will agree that I was definitely the main person in driving the project forward by mobilizing all members and providing vision for completing the project successfully.
For all the deliverables, I helped in providing expertise feedback for improvements. I also wrote most of the content for the website, Needs Analysis, Design Document, and part of the Facilitator Guide. Lastly, I organized and developed most of the written content for the final presentation and delegated speaking parts. Overall, I provided the strategic planning for design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Most importantly, I assisted in facilitating virtual group meetings, held the team together, and kept the team morale high.
Project Timeline
The project allotted majority of the time on the needs analysis and client consultation. We did not have a lot of time to design and develop. We were given only a 2 week deadline to create all our deliverables, prototypes, and compile everything into a website and final presentation.
Results
The final product is not perfect, but it is impressive! It was well received by 2 expert guests during the final presentation. There were some constraints to the project since it was only a simulation. We were not able to interview the employees and determine the root cause, which forced us to make informed assumptions based on the given data and case scenario. In actuality, our solution would be flipped where we start off with the job aid, coaching, then the eLearning micromodule.
